At HelpOut DMV, our mission is to make community service accessible, consistent, and student-driven - connecting high school students to with meaningful opportunities to support their communities.

We started HelpOut DMV because we wanted to give back and make it easier for other students to do the same. Too often, students want to help but don’t know where to start — we wanted to create a space where anyone can step in, get involved, and make a difference in their community.

We connect students with hands-on service opportunities across the DMV. From tutoring and donation drives to meal service and community cleanups, we support both student-led initiatives and partnerships with local organizations.
This month, HelpOut DMV is running a hygiene drive to support local families in need through Shepherd’s Table in Silver Spring. We’re collecting 100+ essential items—soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and more—and need your help to reach our goal!
You can donate items or help spread the word to get others involved. Every contribution counts—sign up below to join the drive and make a difference in our community this March.
